Wine gums overprice...Tesco extra...

Just went for the custards which didn't work at my Tesco...

Bought a bag of 'Maynards wine gums' 215g to cover the shortfall.

SEL said £1

Scanned at £1.48.

Went and bought another 10 bags for DTD.

Happy days.

awww im gonna try later :D
  • I bought these and took them back and they would only offer me a refund and took back the wine gums - no DTD offered, and when I asked the CSA said that it didn't apply - she was really really rude and as there was a queue behind me I didn't argue.

I would also complain about her. It doesn't matter if you didn't get her name, they'll know who was on at the time you were at the desk.

I had a rubbish experience at my local store when I was collecting Tesco Direct stuff and they were so UNHELPFUL. Firstly they didn't have all my packages and so told me to go home and come back a few days later. I did and they kept me waiting an hour - pregnant and with my two and three year old! Finally they said they couldn't locate my packages so I'd need to call Direct and they couldn't help me further.

I was pulling my hair out as my little ones were running riot and was just so upset by the end of it, I went home and called the customer care line.

They resent my items to my home address free delivery and also sent a £30 gift card.

I realise I've gone off on a bit of a tangent but my point is, sometimes it pays to complain if people are rude!!!! It's not necessary really, is it.

I hate reading this yet it comes up time and again. So what if there is a queue behind you? That's the CSA's issue not yours. If you are in the right, stand up and be counted.

I don't like being rude to shop assistants, but unfortunately there is a time to be 'ruder'/more assertive back, and this was it!

I would have dug my heels in, saying the sooner she served me in accordance with Tesco policy and not her own, then the sooner the queue would go down! Also chucking in the bit about going to Trading Standards in future, I am presuming that she didn't go off to alter the price and some other poor unsuspecting suckers who didn't check their receipt would have paid full price. Then I would have insisted on CS Manager, or higher if one wasn't available to address the issue of her rudeness!

I never used to be like this, but sometimes you just have to!

I perhaps shouldn't post this  but oh well I'm going to anyway! I work for tesco (2nd job in evening to cover bills not through choice!) and this week had to redo some training, which every single member of tesco HAS to do every year, it's called 3 point check and is all to do with pricing, one of the questions is ..... What is our policy on customer over charge, and the answer (provided by management) is , refund double the difference every time. :D
So don't back down when cs try to refuse you stand your ground every time, if need be ask for a manager and question the staff members training?!
Sorry if this is a bit long winded :o
