Esa & p45

Hi
I have just recieved a P45 and am wondering if that is what happens when on ESA - recieve a P45 each year - or does this mean for some reason I have been put off ESA?
Thanks

  • A P45 is normally issued at the end of a job or the end of a benefit claim. The form which is usually issued each year during a benefit claim or a job is a P60.

    Thanks
It is defo a P45. I have just managed to get through on phone to ask about this but they don't understand why I have recieved this so will get someone to phone back to explain.

This is so complicated that you can't just phone the office who is assigned to your own area you must go through what seems to be a national centre.

    Thanks again for reply

Were you transferred from IB to ESA? If so, this could relate to the closure of the IB claim. Otherwise, no reason to receive a P45 unless your ESA claim has been closed.
