Where can I donate my old beanie babies?

I used to collect ty beanie babies and must have between 25 and 50 lovely ones stored away in a box on top of my wardrobe. I googled to see what people did with their old collections and saw some from the US sent them to the troops to give to children in war-torn countries. I would like to do something similar, perhaps even to an overseas orphanage - does anyone know of a UK based charity which accepts small soft toys?

Like you I once upon a time used to collect the Beanie Bears and I also have around 50 stored in boxes. I had considered taking them with me to a car boot but decided I would rather give them away to a charity rather than sell one or two at a time for around 50p each.
The options I am considering at moment are:
Give to eldest sons school for Christmas fayre - they do a teddy stall where everyone pays £1.00 and wins a bear (the bears in the past are a motley group).
Give to the eldests Beavers colony to raffle in some way.
Give to the youngests playgroup for them to do something with.
Give to the local Childrens Centre where my youngest is a member.
I cant decide who out of the above is the most deserving at the moment so the bears may spend another year packed away in boxes. What I really want is for someone to have them and raise around £50 selling them in some way so that it will make me feel better for the hundreds of pounds that they cost!0 -
Are they clean? Postpals had some donated and have them to seriously ill children and their siblings in the uk.Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
Rehome an unwanted prize or gift with a seriously ill child through Postpals.co.uk0
