I received a call one evening from BT telling me that because i was a loyal customer they would offer me broadband and my phone for £16 a month. At first i wasn’t interested because i was happy with sky and had no problems, so he convinced me turned out i had to pay an extra £2 for 40gb download which is fine no problems, All i had to do was ring sky get a mac code and it would all be sorted for me, i would get Broadband and my phone with free land line calls any time of the day any day plus i get 3 months half price for £18 a month i thought great i will change over, so i did,
I received a bill from bt for £38
Apparently i have to pay £15 for line rental on top of the £18 the rest for calls,
this was never once mentioned in the phone calls from BT who i spoke to twice about changing over i even stated to them, so let me get this straight you’re going to give me broadband and phone for £18 a months with 3 months half price.
I rang BT to complaint
they said they would have to listen to the phone calls to see if i had been miss sold there product and that i should get a call within 5 working days -TWO WEEKS LATER nothing
Bt states
We aim to respond to a letter within ten working days, an email within five working days and if we can’t sort out your complaint when you phone us, we’ll call you back within five working days.
We’ll try to sort out your complaint on the spot but whatever happens, we’ll respond and try to keep you regularly updated if it’s going to take a while to check into things.
also BT States
You can switch your broadband to BT in just a few steps. Just order a package and we'll contact your current provider to transfer your services. You could be up and running in around 11 days with no break in your service.
But before you get started, you may need your MAC code…
so why am i still being charged by sky who say my broadband is still active
i am going to ring BT again tonight does anyone have any advice that might help me get somewhere
Thanks
