Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know of what the cheapest and best way to get to the slopes this winter is. Looking for the cost of the whole package travel, hotel, lift passes and rental of boards.
Thanks
Sarah

There are some new resorts in Eastern Europe that are cheap.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

TBH, if you book at the right time, and travel at a (reatively) unpopular time, e.g. first couple of weeks in Jan, then you can quite often get a 5* chalet holiday including free pass and board hire, for the same as you would pay individually for a much poorer resort/chalet.
Tip is to sign up for the email alerts and newsletters of various operators so you get to know of the deals straight away.
I have done this before and paid £499 to stay in a multi million pound luxury chalet with all drinks, food, chapagne etc etc and free pass and board hire. The list price would ordinarily have been £899 + £150 for the pass + about £150 for the board hire - total £1199!
Even if you got a cheapy with coach travel, you could easily end up paying £499 if you have to pay for the pass and hire on top.
Another option is to buy a board/boots/bindings combo from ebay for probably less than the cost of your hire.
edit... I'd also go for chalet board every time, particularly when you look at the price of things in Europe if you were buying your own food and drinks.

This is really great advice I like the idea of staying in a 5* hotel and paying half the price. so I'll wait till nearer the time to book for the first week in Jan.
Great! White stuff here I come.
