Although it wont find the solution to your problem and as Steve has asked more details would be helpful. You could try installing it using http://ninite.com/ its pretty much a single click installation for many popular programs and it automatically discards any junk that would be installed with them by default.0

Why not use the Flash version of the ThinkBroadband Speed Tester, and ignore the Java Runtime Environment, if you don't need it for anything else?0
