Friday 9th Sept - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Gooooood morning and a very happy Friday to us all:beer:
I'm happy as I now finish at lunchtime on a Friday...lovely;) I need to go to T's and get some bits and bobs, but would rather do that than be working!
I had a good few ebay sales end last night - I've made a good amount recently so must find more things and list while I'm on a roll:rotfl:
Ok, better do my list:
  • Check banking
  • check onepoll
  • shopping with list
  • buy petrol using my 5p off voucher
  • return cardi I bought to T's - maybe swap for a smaller size
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • meal from plan tonight - chicken stir fry, noodles and prawn crackers
  • wrap and post ebay sales
  • list more on ebay
  • Sparkle...of course:T
Ok, that's my lot:p Hope you're all well and have a lovely old day:j

I really need to sort out a new signature!

Morning Pixie and all who follow (and also the person who will inevitably pip me at the post to be no. 2) :j

    Yay! It is Friday :j:j:j:j:j:j

No half day for me unfortunately though :(

    Today:

Cereal for breakfast with a few of the remaining strawberries from the hanging basket

Give doglet her tablet in a minute, wrapped in a small piece of that horrible wafer thin 'plastic' ham. I have at last discovered a use for it - wrapping up tablets for dogs :D The cheapest, nastiest type will do just fine!

Packed lunch for work, and curry tonight, using a small pack of mince or chicken, whatever comes out of the freezer first, and all the veg out of the bottom of the fridge, with rice, HM chutney and naan bread. Inevitably, there will be enough for tomorrow as well, unless an influx of visitors appears at dinner time (sometimes happens :D) Rest of pear and raspberry crumble I made yesterday for pud. Come to think of it we probably NEED visitors to help polish that lot off :o

Ironing tonight  Didn't do it yesterday.

Also more runner beans to freeze (remind me not to plant so many next year :rotfl:

Have a good day everybody

    • packed lunch made and in meeting in am where there are free biscuits!
    • DSs ready for school , nothing extra to pay for today I hope
    • hokey cokey started but not finished by a long way and no chance of line drying today
    • tea planned for tonight (meal planning; it's marvellous) but gammon so worried about getting it cooking early enough tthat we don't eat at midnight, might need to convince a DS to venture into chefdom
    • say goodbye to brilliant colleague today who I am going to really miss, feel very sad about this so at risk of spending on chocolate
    • sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!
    Have a great Friday all
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

Good morning everyone, It’s a horrible wet day here today and my mood today is just as crap as the weather. I had a blazing row with dh last night, as he said that I should give up on my company and studying in order to be a full time mother / housewife – I’m just not that type of person (no offence to people that do it). Moan over with I best try and get some work done today.

    My list for today:
    • Make packed lunch for ds done
    • Take ds to school done
    • Quick shower done
    • Bath dd done
    • Make up bottles done
    • Catch up with emails done
    • Sort work accounts and update profiles done
    • Raise due invoices done
    • Complete daily clicks done
    • Check online bank and move money around done All direct debtis have come out and I've put money aside for this months rent and I still have £105 to get me through to Thursday, the next few days should be easy :).
    • Check one poll done Earned 40p
    • Make hairdresser appointment for Wednesday done Day might be starting to get better, I managed to get an appointment for tomorrow :), my hair badly needs done, as not had it done since before dd was born.
    • Read through new work that has come in and schedule in diary done
    • Catch up with the laundry Work In Progress
    • Wash dh’s overalls using powder I’m being paid to trial I will do this tomorrow as there is more washing than I thought so won't get it all done today.
    • Update company accounts done
    • Look at available work done
    • Type up clients’ documents done
    • Collect ds from school done
    • Compete available surveys done Its quite on the survey front today
    • Breakfast and lunch from stores done
    • Treating me and ds to a takeaway tonight if bank says yes The bank said yes
    • Do some of the ironing pile I did not get time to do this today so will do it tomorrow.
    • Do some course work I will do this later once kids are in bed.
    • Clean, tidy and hoover house All done apart from dd's room but she is sleeping so I will do it tomorrow.
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. Hope everyone has a good Friday.
    Aiming to get Debt Free.
