26 oct fed up of waiting I phoned and emailed 'Clouds' to cancel the order. I received an email on 27 oct confirming a Paypal refund for £4.99 postage. I then found out I had to claim the rest of the refund from Groupon. I phoned them and emailed to cancel the order. Asked to send proof of cancellation which I did ie. Paypal refund for postage.
Nov 6th I emailed Groupon to find out when I might receive the refund. Nov 7th received the following email
'..the representative that you spoke to has logged the call stating that the refund will be processed once we receive an Email from Clouds Memory Foam stating that the order has been cancelled.
Can I confirm that you were also asked to Email them stating that you have requested a refund and to cancel the current order? We have Emailed them ourselves but if there were to b any issues it usually helps if the customer gets in contact too. They should then return your Email with a confirmation of cancellation which you can then forward to us (if we haven't received one yet) and we'll refund your voucher.'
I have tried to call Clouds but only get an ansafone directing to Groupon website! Emailed Groupon again but no response to date

In the meantime the pillows arrived!! They are poor quality, lumpy, not as describedie. no zip off cover and smell disgusting-cheap and nasty. There is no receipt or refund info, just 2 pillows in a clear plastic bag inside a grey plastic bag. I will NEVER use Groupon again.

I put a negative review on the 'Clouds' website but they didn't publish it

Will be contacting Paypal and Trading Standards if I don't get a refund by the end of this week.

I too have had problems with my Groupon order from Clouds. I originally ordered two lots of goose feather and down pillows from Groupon as I thought they were great value.
The order didn't go well from the start. The website would not accept the groupon security code and after trying to contact Clouds for severa days by email and phone and they never replied to either, I contacted Groupon and eventually they managed to reset the code for me.

I then put my order through.. and waited.. and waited and after 3 weeks I still had heard nothing after emailing clouds again and trying to phone them and none of my messages were responded to. I contacted Groupon again and after having given Clouds a month from the date of the order for delivery I asked Groupon to cancel the order and refund my money.
Imagine my surprise when the courier turned up with some pillows. I thought as they had finally arrived I would sign for them but when I opened them up later on as I was working I realised that they were most definitely not goose feather and down, they were cheap, lumpy and horrible and the labels had been deliberately cut off so I could not see what material they were made of. I am now trying to return them to Clouds, but guess what? they don't reply to my emails again. I have now received a refund from Groupon and want to send these horrible horrible pillows back to Clouds so they don't decide to charge me for them.
Am most disappointed. Have had no trouble with a Groupon offer before now but have decided I will not order any products from them, just restaurants etc as they seem safer.

Seems like Clouds have bitten off more than they can chew!!
  • I am also dissatisfied with my (very late) order of two Goose Down and feather pillows from Memory Cloud because what I received was two pillows with 100% polyester filling with a label from Marks and Spencer. Having checked the Marks and Spencer website I have discovered that a pair of these pillows cost £7; I paid £20 plus P+P for pillows that were supposed to cost £59.99.
What a con! I've emailed Memory Cloud and Groupon.
