Claiming statutary redundancy from rps

Has anyone any idea how long it will take the rps to process my partners claim. or is the answer the same as how long is a piece of string.
My partner was made redundant mid august without notice or even the weeks pay he should have got that day. after obtaining the correct form it was duly filled in and returned. to date we have heard nothing! anyone who knows anything please let me know! your info will be truly appreciated
