Capital One PPI help!

Hi there,
I just got a statement through the post and being a person who never really reads them other than the amount I need to pay I noticed I have been charged £12.95 in PPI for the past 4 years and have no idea why as I sure as heck stay away from PPI like its a plague, I signed up for the card online at the time. I have no idea how to go about reclaiming the PPI or what site to visit or who can help? But its been increasing my monthly payments going in for the past 4 years.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

You are in the right place for help so no need to visit any other site! There are some very wonderful and dedicated people on here who are always happy to help
Firstly check out the homepage and read through Martins guide on how to reclaim PPI. All the reasons for missale are also here. Internet applications can be a little more difficult as there was no direct selling involved and they may try and say that you wanted PPI because you ticked the box. Some companies were useing an opt-out box on applications or that it would not let you proceed until you had ticked the box. Can you remember the details from when you filled out the online application? Also if you have your original credit card agreement have a look and see if the box is actually ticked. Ther were some incidents where the PPI box was not selected by the applicant but the company took it upon itself to add it on anyway, if this is the case they will strugle to defend it!
Once you have your reasons for missale straight, fill in the financial ombudsman questionnaire (also on the homepage for reclaiming) and send it to Capital One by recorded delivery. Then you sit back and wait.
Good luck with your claim, I hope this helps to get you started.
