New contract

Sorry - I dont know if this is the correct forum for this question but I have been made to sign a contract by my employer which states that they have the right to terminate my employment if I am off work for more than 60 days in a 12 month period - this includes doctors certs. etc . i.e. if I break a leg or have depression/stress they say they can dismiss me if I am signed off in excess of this period. - Is this contract legal as we have all been asked to sign it (although some colleagues meantime have refused.)
thank you
