Buyer saying item not received ..

Hi
I am new to selling. I sold a total of about 15 items over a period of 2 weeks.
Everyone paid immediately bar one seller, and I sent them all immediately.
The buyer who didn't pay immediately paid a few days later, it was on the friday of the last bank holiday. I posted her item straight away on the Tuesday following the bank hol as it was the soonest I could. She is now saying she hasn't received it and I don't know what to do.
I did get prooof of postage, but as I hadn't heard anything (over a week after posting), I now dont have that slip..
Do I assume I just have to refund her ? I dont want to get a bad feedback as everyone else has said what good service and quick turnaround they got etc.
THanks

Karen

Yes you will have to refund although you might try asking the buyer to wait another day or two just in case it is delayed. Unfortunately though if you don't have your postage receipt you won't be able to reclaim your loss from Royal Mail.
