Barclaycard Accident & Death Insurance

Hi guys could i have some advice on the following
We had an accident & death cover on our Barclaycard for 5 years it was cancelled in 2009 ! I sent a letter too barclaycard on Tuesday telling them i believed this policy was added too my barclaycard with out my knowledge i would not have taken it as i had already had life insurance in place and also had accident insurance policy through my work ! Got a phone call from Barclays today saying that this is not a ppi policy which i said i already know this isnt a ppi policy cause they have just recently paid us out on the ppi policy i explained too him the reasons i wanted the money back and he said i should take it too the under writers so i said but they never sold me the policy and the money was being added too my Barclaycard account each month ! He insisted i take down the underwriters name and address which i did then he continued too say now i have given you this information shall i close the complaint with us i said no i want a full written response from Barclaycard he got really !!!!ed off and cheeky after this just said will take 8 wks and hung up.
So am i wasteing my time with this ??

Well you now know they have got your complaint by today.
They have 8 weeks to get a response in the post. This could reject it or uphold it.
If they do not, or you do not accept the response, you can go to FOS. Allow 8 weeks plus a bit of time in the post.
I would give it until 8 November to receive a reply.0
