which is best depends on what you are after as they are design with 2 completely different audiences in mind

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Just looking for the more powerful really. Do a lot of downloading and browsing, office work, no gaming though. I have a core 2 duo pc at the moment but need to downsize to a laptop due to moving home and space requirements. Are either of these processors on par or better than a core 2 duo???

    Cheers

well the I3 is by far the most powerful of the 2 processors as the Neo is designed with the netbook/ultraportable laptops in mind (which the Dell is being less than a 14inch screen) hence the question about usage ;)

as to comparible in power difficult to tell as i dont know which core 2 you have, as the core i cpus are generally more powerful than the core 2 cpus, however as ever the laptop CPU's are usually less powerful than their desktop counterparts so guesstimate would be that they will be simular

    so to help the
laptop i3 350m is ranked 347 on cpu benchmark
the desktop core 2 duo E7500 is ranked 353 (so lower)
the desktop core 2 duo E8400 is then ranked 318 (so higher)

any machine is capable of browsing, downloading, and office work - suggest you go and look at them before purchase, as keyboards/touchpads/mouse buttons vary a lot on laptops - the Dell one doesn't have a dvd drive
