Dental Insurance to cover a broken tooth

My tooth broke a couple of days ago, and my NHS dentist said that I could either have the tooth out on the NHS or have a root canal done at a private specialist which will cost £500.
It is too complex to be referred to the local big dentist surgery where I had my wisdom teeth out.
Is there any insurance that will cover me straight away or am I hoping for a miracle?
Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

There's no insurance that'll cover you for a pre-existing condition, if there was then why would anyone bother with insurance? They'd just wait till something happened then phone up to get a policy.0

I think you will find with some of the Health Cash Back plans you can do exactly that.
They do this as most people will not bother cancelling them0
