I'm not going to be paid, am I? :-\

Options
I just (well, a few hours ago) sold an old netbook of mine and the winner was a member with only three feedback, one of which appears to be negative (just says 'hmmmm')

Since then the buyer has not paid, however has left me a neutral(!) feedback that just says 'good'. Looking at the other feedback they have given, the only other one is for the item which they seem to have received the poor feedback for. I've sent a message to that seller to ask if the transaction went ok

So I have two questions really as I'm a bit new to selling and this is the first time I've had an issue:

1) How long should I wait before I file an unpaid item dispute?

2) Would it be possible for me to get the neutral feedback removed whether they pay or not? There is currently nothing for them to give feedback on so I don't see how it can be valid.

You can't open a NPB for 4 days, then if they don't pay close it 4 days later.
If it closes in your favour they can't leave you FB & you can ask to have what they've left you removed.
You can ask ebay to remove the Fb they've already left, as it appears to have been left in error.
Do you have your buyer requirements set tight?

    Thanks for the reply.

I will leave it a few days then message him to see if I can get him to pay up without having to open a NPB dispute, and at the same time will ask if they will revise their feedback (just chatted to ebay who said they wont remove it and this should be resolved between buyer and seller). Hopefully the previous seller I contacted will reply with good news.

I'm in two minds as to whether to just contact the buyer now and ask if they're even aware they need to pay via paypal after they have won the auction - they seem to be displaying all of the hallmarks of an ebay newbie who doesn't know what they're doing. I don't want to seem demanding, though. And besides, even if I did and this is the case they still wouldn't understand.

I only had my buyer requirements set to mainland UK, I wasn't aware there were other requirements you could set but will be tightening them up from now on.

Have you sent the buyer an invoice?
Your buyer requirements are in your account, site preferences then buyers requirements.
Have received 2 unpaid item(s) recorded on their account within 12 month(s) Have a primary delivery address in a location I don't post to Have 4 policy breaches reported within 6 month(s) Have a Feedback score of -1 or lower Have a Feedback score of 5 or lower and no credit card on file

The above is the best you can set
