Recently changed my supplier from British Gas for gas and electric to sse the final gas bill was fine but the electric bg have sent an "estimated final bill which is over by some £16 I worked out.
I have has my first bill from sse which the starting readings are the correct but British gas want me to pay on an estimated electric reading
I have been on to Bg but they keep saying they havent had the final electric reading from sse who say yes they have as they sent it hence my starting reading from sse is correct.Hope this makes sense
I have made a payment of £10 to british Gas which is my estimation of the correct bill obviously this leaves £16 "owing" according to British GAS

Some suppliers choose to issue an "interim" bill, or maybe a scheduled bill was due.
However it is "easy" to deal with. Like any "estimated" bill, reject the estimate providing any customer read (and date) you like (preferably the correct one). The supplier then has to replace the estimated bill.
In time the switch process should work out. If it doesn't complain to one or other or both parties.0
