Big grub in veg patch
Options
I am just raking over my veg patch and have unearthed a larvae/grub. It's quite fat and about an inch long, white with a brown head, littlelegs at thefront and a line od brownspots alongthe side. It tries to wriggle back into the soil - any ideas what it might be? I'm guessing some sort of moth?

That's the fella - better go squish it then as it's described as a voraceous pest. Thanks very much for the help - much appreciatedTrying to keep in budget.

Yuk, a chafer grub, so meaty I can't squish them but chuck them on the grass for the birds to eat - they love them.0
