Moving Money

If you are going to move money to another bank electronically try to do it on Monday or Tuesday so it arrives in the new A/c within the 3 working days of the same week.If you do it after Tuesday it does not usually arrive until the next week as the W/E does not count in working days.So it can take up to 5 or 6 days of lost interest if you transfer at the wrong time.
I bet either the transfering or receiving banks don't have a gap in use of our money. No wonder those poor banks are so hard up!!

Wednesday is the last day to be guaranteed to have it on the Friday. That assumes you are with a traditional clearing bank and not a bank/building society that doesnt have its own clearing house.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
