OXO best stock cube graphics, shame about the smaller size

In other news.....
OXO cubes are now using a funky 'X' design, rather than the traditional cube. Whilst this looks really cool, you actually get less for your money as the surface area is smaller.
Old cubes (7.8g) appear to be just short of 1gm heavier than the new cubes (6.9g). So in a box of 12 you are effectively getting robbed of nearly a cube and a half. The price, however, has not dropped......

Happening all over.
Apparantley Roses are putting less chocolates in each tin.
And I bought a pizza the other night. It used to be 8 slices and now it was 6!0 -

The surface area is possibly a little larger. However the volume is smaller. I doubt you're the first person to realise that if you have a square and hack away some of the middle on each side to make an X then you get less product0 -

I think you mean volume, or mass. The surface area is probably actually larger.

This will affect my recipes. I will have to open another stock cube to make up the difference.0
