Could anyone recomend a Freeview + recorder in the region of £150?
I have been using a Video Recorder up to now (I know it's an antique!)
I have a Sony HD ready T.V. and wont be changing it to a full HD for a few years
I was looking at the SagemDTR67500T but after reading reviews am not sure. (The buttons on the remote are tiny as well)
I know a few people think the Humax range are good but looking at the reviews, they cut ends of programmes etc and don't start when they should.
Am completely confused now so any advice would be welcome.

Programme start and finish times are only as good as those supplied by the broadcaster.
Humax is the way to go.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Thanks! penrhyn
Could you recommend a particular one? (around £150 mark)0 -
My machine has been superseded, suggest having a look at Humax Direct for bargains.

Might be worth thinking about a Freeview HD box, more money though. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
This site is obsessed with Humax. There are other brands and at the moment this Digital Stream is a bargain at £129.60.0

I will second what Inner Zone said we bought one of these about a month ago and are very pleased with it the one we had before that was a Humax.
John Lewis have the 500gb one at £185 with 2 years guarantee and free delivery.

My Humax is a few years old now - if a programme is crucial you have to set the end time to about ten minutes later (especially on BBC1 & 2) as unlike a Sky box it does not use the start & end of programme signal - the on-screen display is clunky (this may have improved) and after a few months it needs a minor rest to rick up the programme guide again0

100% Humax all the way, we have 3 Humax Boxes in the house and never had a problem with them.0

Sounds like you are not using the latest firmware-have you tried a manual update?
The EPG used to be very slow to load, but about a year ago they output an update which caches EPG to the hard drive when it shuts down. It's not been an issue since.
OP, I would suggest the PVR 9300T, either from Humax Direct or Richer Sounds-320GB or 500GB disk capacities available. The 9150 is inside your budget but the drive is a bit on the small side.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Humax envy anyone? I have two only... any advance on three?
Anyone got the full suite of Freeview, Freeview HD and Freesat versions? No free lunch, and no free laptop
