Windows Live Mail

I have a 17 months old Medion computer running Windows 7 Home Premium. Using Windows Live Mail (which I prefer) I was able to press the envelope key on my keyboard and go directly to my inbox, no other action needing to be taken.
After the PC being away at the Medion workshop for a problem to be fixed (it wasn't) I had to set up my email account again. But I now get very few emails to Win Live Mail but all go to Hotmail and Virgin (my ISP). Can anyone explain this and offer a solution please? Thanks.

I now withdraw the thread and the question posed, firstly because the PC has been permanently returned to Aldi and secondly because it seems nobody can offer a solution.0
