With V/media...How much will it cost to reconnect my old BT phone line ?

Moved into my home a few years ago. Had a BT phone line.
Decided to go to V/media for phone, broadband and TV.
Due to the nature of my wall, V/media just swapped my BT phone socket box with a VM one. They didn't install a new socket box and I can still see the old BT phone wires in the 'new' VM socket box.
I'm now thinking about getting freeview TV and for my phone/broadband going to Talk/Talk or O2 or BT, which I think will require a BT phone line connection.
Anyone know how much it will cost me to move from my VM phone to a BT connection.
For info. I will not have to pay any VM cancellation fees due to the nature of my contract with them.
Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

BT's standard charge for a new line is £130 (12 month contract).
You can get £100 discount by agreeing to an 18 month discount.
You can get £130 discount by taking landline, broadband, calls plan a BT Vision.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

You could always get freeview for tv and port your vm phone number to a voip provider, just retaining vm broadband. Voip service runs great over cable broadband. Check out vonage or voipfone. There is cashback on vonage through quidco or topcashback.
Once your number is on voip you can take it with you if you move house, anywhere you go; you can even use it abroad.0
