Thanks button not working in Firefox browser

Recently I have noticed that when I thank someone for a post using the THANKS button, the thanks doesn't get registered. I am using the Firefox 2 browser however, if I fire up IE6, the thanks button works. It seems that this could be a problem with the Firefox browser or the website code used for the Thanks button. Has this been reported before?

(Doesn't look like it)0 -
Just called up the page source in ff2
The thanks button is rendered as...
<a href="#" id="post_thanks_button_3981483" onclick="post_thanks_give_3981483(); return false;"> <img src="images/buttons/post_thanks.gif" alt="Thanks" border="0" /></a>
And the script for post_thanks_give_3981483() is...
function post_thanks_give_3981483()
!!
do_thanks_button = new vB_AJAX_Handler(true)
do_thanks_button.onreadystatechange(thanks_button_Done_3981483)
do_thanks_button.send('showthread.html?do=post_thanks_button_ajax&p=3981483')
do_thanks_add = new vB_AJAX_Handler(true)
do_thanks_add.onreadystatechange(thanks_add_Done_3981483)
do_thanks_add.send('showthread.html?do=post_thanks_add_ajax&p=3981483')

Hey. Just did it using ff2 on another PC at another location with a different ISP and it works! Must be something to do with firewalls, proxy servers or something like that which is blocking AJAX.
edit: Workround has been found.
Install the firefox NOSCRIPT add-on and use it to disable javascript for the moneysaving expert website. The THANKS button then reverts to the old fashioned way of doing thanks instead of the fancy Javascript/AJAX way.
edit2: This shows up another website bug. If you disable javascript and click on the SHOW ME... link, you get a 404 page not found error.0
