Had a non-fault accident Who are RTA assistance??

Hi I had a rear shunt accident in which I had a neck injury and the car is wrecked. My insurance company have been fab. I have a hire car, my car is being picked up this week to be assessed and I have been contacted by a solicitors who will be helping me to claim my out of pocket expenses eg. chiropractor costs, new roof rack and tow bar. I am not making a personal injury claim since I dont think its that bad and a few sessions with the chiropractor seem to be sorting out the pain and stiffness.
I recieved a call from a company called RTA Assistance claiming to be put in place by the ministry of justice?? and telling me there is £2000 in a pot put aside by the third parties insurance and they can get it for me in 6 to 12 weeks. I am a bit confused by who they are and what they do. I checked out their website and it does carry the ministry of justice logo but I know that means nothing!
Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

That's ok, you'll get more than two calls off them.0

They are regulated by the Ministry of Justice, as all claims management companies are.
The third party insurers may or may not have made a reserve to cover a PI claim depending on both what the TP has told them plus their standard practice. 12 weeks is achievable for a minor PI claim if the TPI are very quick in replying and have taken the stance that its better to settle low value claims almost immediately rather than increase the solicitors fees (which are on top of your "£2,000") by arguing each one saying they are spurious.
Personally if I were to pursue a PI claim I wouldn't be using a random company that phoned me. The probability is that the garage or hire car company had a privacy statement that will say they will pass (aka sell) your details to other parties.0
