HSBC Debit card

Hi,

My wife went into a shop today and was queing up and a woman was talking about HSBC debit card design, and pulled a silver one with a multicolourd HSBC card. I was wondering is this the Olympic card? If so do you know if you can request one as the card my wife has is bent in the middle and causes problems in the cashpoint.

If the card is damaged just call them and say that your card is damaged and you would like a replacement, First Direct (Part of HSBC) did this for my credit card when the chip was faulty and the old card worked for a month.

i get through a card a year, and i don't use it that much. there a pain, but they will send you a new card if you ask for it

HSBC doesn't sponsor Olympics so doesn't offer an 'Olympic' card.

Your wife can call tel banking or pop into any branch to request a replacement for her damaged card though.

My hubby's card is a Silver card, but it doesnt have anything multicoloured on it. It is Silver with the world on it in lighter silver (i think, from memory) and it comes with the standard current account. Its a nice looking card

I think the multi-coloured one is the "young person's" bank account debit card.
