Please Help Broken LG Phone from Tesco – what are my rights?
Hi, I bought a mobile at the end of Feb 2011. Last week the smart key stopped working this is making the phone very difficult to use.
I phoned the Customer service number where they told me I had 2 options:
1) Send the phone away for repair which means I could be without a phone for 7-10 days as they don’t provide a courtesy phone.
2) Or keep the broken phone and do nothing with it.
If I send it away it means I have to buy another phone as I can’t be without a phone for that long.
Has anyone else had this problem with Tesco.
I thought I would be able to exchange it for a working phone but I was told this is not their policy! is this right?
I was also told that I was not allowed to return it to the store for a refund, even though it is broken.
TIA

They have the option as to what to do, repair, replace or refund.

They have chosen repair so theres not a lot you can do,

Just buy a £10 pay as you go to tide you over or keep the 'difficult to use' phone
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
