When I go online, a strange bill appears and blots out half my screen - and I cannot get rid of it. I have to move every other window in order to work.
This bill is from MBS and apparently it's because my computer signed up to a site which requires £19.95 payment. I have never done such thing, particularly as this is one of "those" sites, and I have no idea how it got hold of my computer details. I live alone and nobody has access to my laptop except myself.
The first time this appeared there was a message, addressed to my name as registered on my computer, at a yahoo address. I have never had any yahoo accounts.
So now this bills appears, I can't get rid of it and someone has opened a yahoo account in my name and has the password to it.
I run CCleaner, AVG, Ad-aware, spybot regularly, and my firewall is Kerio.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this thing? The bill has a severity code grading and I dread to think what "they" will do when it gets to the highest.
I won't be home until late tonight, but any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

If that doesn't work follow the malware/spyware removal guide in the stickies at the top of this forum:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=133269
You'll have to work through it quite carefully. If you have problems, post a Hijack log back here and I'm sure Browntoa or others will help with sorting it out.
It may also be worth adding the words browser hijack to the title so its spotted by those that can help.0
