Finding insurance for property during renovations

I'm struggling to find a good insurance to cover the flat I'm buying during the 2 to 3 months it will be empty while major renovation work is going on. Empty and renovation seem to be the two massive red flags!
Only one I've found so far is Intasure but the reviews are terrible so should something happen, I'm worried they would find a loophole and not cover it. Surely I can't be the first one in that situation? Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

Got rid of all my credit card debt, reduced crazy utilities bills, learned to budget, and now trading down to a smaller property. Lurking around the DIY forum.

Intasure are a decent company. I have seen positive reviews. Hiscox use them for some overseas property risks, so I would have thought they were ok.
Try Towergate brokers or Homeprotect.co.ukThe comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
