Region 3 - DVD's

Hi All

I have often wondered why Region 3 dvd's seem to be cheaper when compared against region 1 and 2.

Does anyone know the reason why?

I have a multi-region dvd player and have though about ordering some region 3 dvd's from cd-wow.

REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia

Go for it! If you have multi region you have nothing to be worried about. Cheaper because rarer probs. and maybe not in english

In my experience they tend to be low on extras, often have a lower-quality transfer than Western DVDs of the same movies, and often make you sit through several minutes of ads before they start playing . Many are also aimed at the Chinese market, where many people can't pay Western prices for luxuries.

I have a few, but only because they're Asian movies which weren't available in the West at the time I bought them.
