Can my item be seized by Customs

Hi, i bought some shirts from China and the EMS TRACKING website now shows the below:

Why at Customs ? Is this ALWAYS bad or random ?

Usual procedure, then depending on how the item was classified when sent determines if any additional payment is required. Also, if a courier is being used, they may charge a customs clearance fee

You might have to pay import tax I guess. But unless your shirts have small packets of cocaine sewn into each seam I expect you'll be OK.

is that like 20% of the purchase price? they are probably FAKE man u shirts, do they still allow this?

20% (not 17.5%) VAT plus clearance fees plus duties dependent on clothes material and age range (no duties on kids clothing under the age of 11).

COVENTRY PF on your tracking is Coventry Parcelforce - this is the main import hub for Parcelforce based at Bagington, Coventry Airport.

But if they are fake they'll could get seized and your shipping history may be examined to see if its a one of or not. Customs are entitled to seize and destroy.

I think Hintza was more likely referring to the VAT value of 17.5%

If you have bought 1 or 2 items then the worst that will happen is you wont see them.

If you have ordered boxes of them or have a history of ordering silimar items you may get a visit.

Or have i watched too many tv shows?
