How can I clean latte off matt painted walls!

Hi All,
I managed to knock over a whole cup of latte onto our wall.
Problem is that its a new house with plaserboard and matt magnolia walls - I wiped it immediately, but the hot milk has left shiny splash marks all over the wall.
Any ideas what I can do? If I paint over it, will the milk still show?
Thanks!
PS I think I'll stick to water in future.....

Unless it was painted recently then any new paint would show.
The best thing for you to do, is paint the whole wall, that way there would be no patchy bits.0
