Spybot Search & Destroy - temporary files not deleted

Whenever a scan commences, the following messages appear:

We have located 966 temporary files... Scan speed will increase if you allow us to clean your temporary folder. Do you want Spybo-tS&D to do this for you?

Yes No Never (will not ask you again).


I selected 'Yes'. After that, it says 966 files can't be removed.

Why can't it remove it? Should I use CC Cleaner instead? Delete them manually? I tried using IE and Firefox to delete them, and Spybot doesn't detect it that I delete them.

Suggestions appreciated.

My suggestion would be to replace Spybot with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Newer and better.

Use CCleaner for temporary files, but make sure that you aren't deleting cookies for various browsers because you may then lose your logon information (if you allow it to be kept on your PC).
