Debate House Prices

In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.
We'd like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum. This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are - or become - political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.

I'm a lurker on this board more than a contributor, the reason being that my knowledge about all things economic/financial etc is not that great, but Generali ( along with some of the more intelligent people on this board) has been a great educator. I'll miss his input.

Thankfully gone now. Or for now...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Perhaps we should have a thread where quitters could make their predictions before going?

I would have found this out if I ever read this thread. I am not without standards and morals, but I am generally 'evil' and could never be correctly termed 'nice' [and wouldn't want to be for that matter]. Hence I always ignore that thread. I know my place.

What do these people post all day? [forgive me, but my principles prevent me from opening the thread]. I can only assume it's all "Can I sell my pension, lol, smiley smiley,...." and "I don't think you can loveytune rofl, lol, more smiley smiley, ..."?

Anybody thought of opening "Nasty People thread part 5 - evil and backstabbing all the way."?

:rotfl::rotfl:I read this last night and made me laugh........it's a good title for a thread but don't know if the mods on here will allow 2 chit -chat threads. Why not start one and seen what gets posted? I have some supressed vitriol that I could do with letting go of....kind of/sort of relating to the economy and how things have panned out. A ''Grumble About....'' thread would be useful too.
All helps keep me sane for my Real Life role in life.:)
Just chitter chatter about chickens, books people have read, what a bad day we're having *hugs*, bits and bobs about general life, random questions ..... and nice things.

Kittens, bubble baths, swan pedalos, holidays ... you know, nice stuff.
It's a fab thread ...like popping into a bar but without the hassle of getting ready first or having to walk/drive there.
