OP, I am not trying to offend you.
Pretty much anything is legally possible.
Some of these things, however, require a fair amount of money.
It is perfectly legal (unless there's anything glaringly relevant that you haven't told us!) for you to get a mortgage.
That is the answer to the question you have asked.
But I _don't_ believe that that is the answer to the question that you want to know.
This is MoneySavingExpert. You are wanting to do this to save money.
I think it would be wrong of us to answer the question and not mention that we don't think it will save you money. I think it would be unhelpful of us to not suggest ways in which you could save money.0 -
thank you, i appreciate you coming back to this
husband bought the house before we were together, my main issue would be that i am effectively taking it from him (although i knwo that as we are married i have some sort of entitlement to the house - that is not what i am trying to do, just in case anyone thinks it) and as it has about 80k equity
yes it was an idea to save money, and i think i need to dig out the last statement on the mortgage so i can post the figures accurately0 -
No problem.
Let us know the figures from the statement and we'll see what we can come up with.0
