I have an old Lexmark printer (30 Series, if that means anything) and cant find the disc to install it to the laptop. I have the lead and have tried to install it without the disc but even though it recognises the printer it says it cannot install unless I download some software.
I have no idea what Im doing and dont want to mess up my laptop by doing the wrong thing.
Can anyone advise please, many thanks.

Find your printer on there and download the appropriate software for your version of Windows. Once installed, just plug the printer in and it'll work.
If you tell me the exact printer model number and version of Windows, i'll link you to the correct software.0 -
Thank you so much leemoss.
The printer is a Lexmark Z735 and the Model noumber on the back says 4113-061.
As for the version of windows - (sorry, this is how thick I am) I only know that Ive just had the laptop completly revamped and Ive got the latest version of windows installed.0 -

Click on Start then RIGHT CLICK on My Computer (or Computer) and select Properties. It will then open up another window which will tell you what version of Windows you have. Take note if it says 32bit or 64bit ( or x64) as if it is 64 bit you'll need the 64 bit drivers.0 -
Thanks. Its Windows 7 Ultimate and its 32 bit.0

Ther are no W7 drivers available, probably because the printer is too old and is not supported.
Try the Vista 32 bit drivers and see if that works-it may do.

Hi,
think this is what you are looking for, says you can use Windows Vista (32 bit) driver with Windows 7.0
