Anyone any idea how FD react to the "id like another 6 months interest free please" trick?
They have been kind enough to increase my Gold Card limit to the princely sum of £25,000 and Im a little anxious to use it for offsetting.
Any experience?

Counter intuitively, you could downgrade to a black visa (if you've never had one) and get 6 motnhs at 0% with that card.0

Martin says in his articles never spend on a card that you have made a balance transfer to. However, FD seem to offer interest free spending on the card for the 6 months of the balance transfer period. Am Ireading it correctly or should I stand by Martin's golden rule? Can you advise.0

Although you could do both there are problems:
1) The danger of getting the two sums mixed up and running up an unexpected debt.
2) There are better cards to use for purchases (12 months 0%, or cashback).
3) Why would you have any spare credit limit for purchases anyway?! If you are playing the BT/stoozing game then use your whole limit!0 -

Many thanx. I see your point about no credit left over for spending.0
