  • The problem is likely to be with the website not your PC. They've put some instructions into the page which don't work.

If this isn't the problem it might be handy to know which site it is so others can see if they get the same error.
  • Yes, probably a problem on the web site.

To prevent the errors appearing, in IE click Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab. Make sure the two 'Disable script debugging' boxes are ticked and 'Display a notification about every script error' is not ticked.
  • I began getting these on sites which previously didn't cause them to appear eg on the comet web site - following installation of Internet Explorer Version 7 (IE 7.0) I also had lots of other hiccups but these seem to have improved after re-installing it.
  • chippy... did that ... a couple of the boxes weren't ticked.

    however .. now i get a bigger box !..

    headed Internet Explorer script error
    line ..... 16
    char .....1
    error.... syntax error
    code .... 0
continue running scripts .. yes or no click.
  • Ensure 'Display a notification about every script error' is not ticked.
  • this can also be caused by a add-on if there is another window behind the debug one PM me and ill help you
