Long Eaton Glass - Glass and double glazing in East Midlands

Anyone in the area between Nottingham and Derby (I'm not sure exactly which areas they will cover, but I've seen their vans around central Nottingham) who is looking for new windows should get a quote from these people. They are a general glass and glazing company - they don't just do double glazing.
We had several quotes for a replacement double glazed bay window. One from Anglian, one from a local double glazing firm, and one from Long Eaton Glass. The double glazing firms sent sharp-suited salesmen who gave demonstrations using those little model windows they all carry around, then went into an elaborate discussion about price and how I could get a "once-in-a-lifetime" deal if I signed up on the spot. Long Eaton glass sent a very polite man to look at the house and measure up, who was finished in about 10 minutes and promised to send the quote in the post. When it arrived their quote was less than the "once-in-a-lifetime" deals, and far less than the standard quotes from the double glazing people.
I called them a few days later to accept the quote and tell them about some concerns I had about damp getting in around that window, so they promised to look into it when the old window was removed. They took a 20% deposit and arranged an installation date. They arrived promptly on the morning of the installation date and had completed the job by about 5. The new window looks great, the damp problem is sorted and they left virtually no mess (just a bit of dust on the floor by the window).
Overall, they offered a very professional, efficient, competitively priced and courteous service with none of the pressure often associated with double glazing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They were recommended to me by a friend who had some difficult requirements (e.g. wanted to replace round porthole windows with double glazed) and LE glass was the only company that could meet them.
I have no connection with Long Eaton Glass other than as a customer.

Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning
