CTC & WTC advice re son turning 18 please

My son turned 18 on May 30, our most recent Child Benefit payment has now been reduced to reflect that. Also have daughter of 15.
Wife also receives lowest level DLA and CTC & WTC.
No problem with Child Benefit being reduced but should I be contacting Tax Credits advising he is now him 18 or will they change the tax credits to reflect this themselves or perhaps will our payments stay the same???
PS He is continuing his education by going to University
Thanks for any advice in advance

The rules for CTC are similar to Child Benefit, therefore your CTC for him will stop.
In theory HMRC deal with both benefits, but their systems don't generally talk to each other for CTC and CB.
I would advise you contact the tax credit helpline (0845 300 3900) to report the change so as to ensure any overpayment is minimised.
