Morning all, Last night I finally got round to setting up our wireless network at home, got it all together, OH was registering on XBOX live when there was a little cracking noise and then a terrible smell from the tele, the sound had gone!
Now My question is, Would it be a good idea to just get them fixed, or grab a bargain super dooper new tele in the sales? Its a Sony 32" KD something or other, what sort of prices have you paid for repairs?

Sony usally outsource repairs. We had to get a Home theatre looked at/fixed. I took it to someones house in the middle of no where (sony gave me the details!) and went to his garage/shed, which must of had close to £50k's worth of stuff!
He charged £50 to look at it, and knocked it off the price if we got the item fixed by him.
I'd be tempted to buy a new telly (if yours is out of warranty) and flog the old one on ebay. Some people wont use the TV speakers anyway, but use a stereo system, so someone is bound to buy it.0 -
What a great idea! I hadn't even thought about setting up the sound to come through my stereo! Thinks me will be having a go at that in a mo, saves going back down to Curry's!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0
