  • I adopt the same strategy as Loughton Monkey - though not sure i would move £10k for an extra 0.05% - i think that's just £4 net of tax a year? Maybe i've got the decimal point in the wrong place and it's £40 but even so ... i tend to look for 0.25% before moving accounts (so in general i tend to move my money as the bonus expires)

    Well partly I'm a bit 'tight', and yes, I was exaggerating a bit. And you have to consider the few days in the 'pipeline'.....

    But overall, I find it pays to 'optimise'. I have a hell of a lot more than £10K in total and so it does make a big difference.
