I've just dug up my front garden - and want to make it low maintenance. Am going to put down some black membrane (already have it stored in the garage - of course, bought when reduced
) but need masses of Bark.
Has anyone seen any bargains around?

Call around local tree surgeons. There's a guy near me who has a 50ft mountain of the stuff in his yard that he's keen for people to take away.0

Bark is a cheap way to cover a big area, but bit of a warning... cats seem to like using it as a toilet a lot!! So if you have any kids you might wanna warn them to keep off it just incase

as petew suggested - tree surgeons or maybe small woodland owners for very cheap or freesaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk
made loads last year :beer:0 -
What used to be Wyevale has 60L bags for £4.99 each, or 4 for £15, and if you have a loyalty card you get a fifth free.0

My local wood yard - they make fencing etc sell at £1 per bag and you just fill yourself .. Bargain0

If you don't have access to local wood yards etc best price I've ever found is Homebase own label on 3 for 2 or similar deals and then buy on discount days for extra savings.0

Find a bulk bark supplier and borrow a trailer. I pay £36 for 1000 litres incl. VAT for coarse grade bark.0

Makro had 100 litre bags on BOGOF last time I went in there. £6 for the two IIRC.Justice For The 960
