I'm looking to open a new saving account and was wondering what the most important factors to look out for are?
Any advice would be great as am a complete novice,
Thanks,
B

Access (do you want a branch or are you happier online).
Service - does it do what you expect it to do.
Withdrawals - are you prepared to tie your money up or not. Do you want ATM access.0 -

How much do people really use branches these days?
Isn't all banking done online now?
Thanks,

A typical high street bank will do around 50% of its business in branch, the rest by phone or online. How much do people really use branches these days?

While I do most of my transactions online, I can't pay in through my DVD drive and I can't get cash out by telephone. So a branch is useful.
Additionally, many people want the reassurance of talking to the bank face to face. A branch works if you're like this.0 -
And I'd prefer to go into my bank branch and change my address so I know it's been done** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I do most of my banking online, but I do occasionally have to pay cheques into my account, and its handy having a branch close-by, so I can just pop in on my lunch breakDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0
