Due to various things in our circumstances, we find ourselves in the position of not really being able to afford to rent a house, pay bills, eat good food and generally be suburban as is expected of us. If Dh went and lived with his mother, there'd be no problem as I'd get IS, HB etc. This is not the best route to married…

You're right of course patman99, hadn't even considered housing benefit as we're not on Jobseekers or IS etc. I'll get onto that.

Caravan/boat living looks great, but with a newborn and toddler I don't think it'll actually help my peace of mind at the minute, so hardcore cutbacks etc. are going to be required to keep us in this house for the time being.
