Can you tell us what sort of shower it is, please? Make Model number if poss.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

I bought it from Homebase 3 years ago and the make is Triton Opal electric shower 9.5 kw but not sure what the model number is, have just looked in the book and can't see it.0

Right so it's this one:

I can guess at possibilities but I'm reluctant to do so. Are you in a hard water area?
There will be another regular poster who knows these things better than me who hopefully will reply.A house isn't a home without a cat.

if you turn off the power at the pullcord does the water stop?
I am not famniliar with that partiular shower but i know most of tritons showers work like this...
btkAll advice given by thekid is in good faith but remember these important facts:- I'm lucky enough to live in Scotland(Scots Law may apply)...

we've got exactly the same thing at the mo, but with the hot tap.
everyone we've spoken to seems to thing that limescale is stopping a valve from closing properly.
Anyway, we've got a plumber coming to look at it today under warranty (hopefully should've come by now).
Will still be really cross if there's a 2 second fix for it though
edit: fyi, we can turn the power off to the whole house and it still keeps going

If i pull the cord off the cold water is still running from the shower but the hot isn't.0

Sounds as though the solenoid valve for the water is stuck "open". Try "thumping" the side of the unit - not too hard !
If not you need a plumber/electrician.0
