The above can only give you a guide. Many of the reports are now very out of date. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they produce compehensive reports any more. Some of the the latest ones appear very sparse.

Didn't things change a while back in terms of care homes now inspecting themselves or something equally useless?

Unfortunately, yes, the inspection and report system's changed. It's been going downhill since before 2001; then, reports were very detailed and really helpful.

It's still worth looking at the reports.
