Having just received a 20% voucher I saw M&M were selling on eBay. They have these trousers for £10.99 and Free Delivery on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trutex-Girls-Fairtrade-Cotton-Trouser-Black-/190564085463?pt=Girl_s_Clothing&var=&hash=item7217b85331
But on their website they are 6.99: http://www.mandmdirect.com/products-Trutex-Girls-Fairtrade-Cotton-Trousers-Black_TX119.htm
Do eBay still allow this? It was a big no-no when I was selling on there and people selling cheaper on their website had listings pulled.
Was just interested really.

The price on ebay for the trousers to be delivered to your house is £10.99.
The price on the website for the same trousers to be delivered to your house is £10.98 (£6.99 for the trousers and £3.99 for P&P).
This shows what a total waste of time the "free" postage on ebay is. Any sensible person knows that it is paid for by the customer.0 -
Customers like it, obviously someone pays for the postage, in general people prefer the price they see as the final price they pay.shaun_from_Africa wrote: »This shows what a total waste of time the "free" postage on ebay is. Any sensible person knows that it is paid for by the customer.
As for Ebay being bothered about lower prices on websites, I haven't heard for some time of anyone having items pulled for being lower on their website, I think Ebay sort of expect it in a lot of cases. I'd imagine anything significantly higher than 10% difference could be frowned upon. Most likely that only those sellers who advertise the fact (either in their own website or on Ebay) would be the ones who would be targetted if it does still happen..0
