Parcel Force (No idea where to put this)

I'm pretty sure this isn't the right part of the forum but I can't find a more suitable one. :o

Anyway, Parcel Force tried to deliver a parcel this morning. It must have been pretty early because MIL was up before FIL got up and he gets up at 7am!

It required a signature and a card was left.

The card said that it has been left at the local Post Office branch and could be collected after 3pm.

MIL went to the Post Office to pick the parcel up after 3pm, only to be told that we would have to get Parcel Force to redeliver it.
I noticed that you could do it online, so I went online only to see that the Parcel Force site says that they can't redeliver if it's at a Post Office.

So, what am I supposed to do? Post Office won't give us the parcel because they say that we have to get Parcel Force to redeliver, but Parcel Force won't redeliver because it's at a Post Office.

Has anyone been in this situation before? What are we supposed to do?

  • hang around outside the post office till somebody else is serving, then run in and get your parcel.
  • Parcel force in my area always leave deliveries at my PO. I just go and collect from them. If it is at your PO take your card and the online printout saying it is at the PO (check it is the right one). If that doesn't work you will have to find a number to ring PF.

    Thanks for the replies.

Just did track and trace and it does advise to collect from Post Office so no idea why the PO said that I would have to get it re-delivered.

Have you an address for where it is? Could it be at a sorting office rather than your local post office?

    Update:

We went to the sorting office first, who said that it'd be at the Post Office.

We went to the Post Office, and there wasn't any quabble or anything. She went to get my parcel, got my signature and that was that.

Maybe it helped that we know the Post Mistress but there wasn't any trouble at all.
