Hi I live in a 3 bed semi and my guttering in full of moss, so much so that they don't work properly at all. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get someone to clear them and what do I look under in the yellow pages to find someone?

What you need I think is perhaps a 'handyman' an odd jobber who has a big set of ladders. I would think they will be your best bet, often semi retired peeps tend to offer this service, have you seen any ads in say the post office or newsagents?
Agree a price up froont rather than per hour. It really should take longer than an hour unless they are being cleaned also.0 -
Our window cleaner does ours once a year after the leaves have stopped falling - cost about £40 on top of the usual cleaning charge. To be fair they are obviously on site anyway and in this case doing half the street so they can afford to charge a lower fee as they don't have to offset travel time.Adventure before Dementia!0

Window cleaner is best man for job, costs very little, get your neighbours involved and the cost comes down further. I think we paid about 20 quid each for about the same size house.0

£40, £20, wow, now I know why I invested in some ladders.0

I used to take a £1 a metre for gutter cleaning in decent weather.

Hi, I hope you don't mind my popping in, but I have a similar question except it involves repairing the gutter which is gushing like a fountain. some window cleaner came around and said he couldn't fix it. This creepy guy keeps coming around every 3 months, but mum just gets really bad vibes from him so never asks him to do it - is there such a job as gutter repairer or would it be plumber?Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0

the window cleaner might be able to do it for you.
what kind of gutters?cast iron ones are really easy to repair, just scrape out the old putty, bed in some new putty and put in a new gutter bolt. Plastic ones are more tricky and usually involve replacing a section of gutter.

We have plastic guttering, aka fountain housing
